Sky Lodge has 3 exclusive private lodges on top of the hill - Sunset Private Lodge (4 en-suite bedrooms), Red Sky Private Lodge (7 en-suite bedrooms) and the big Blue Sky Private Lodge (9 en-suite bedrooms).

Each private lodge has its own solar back up system, big stone fireplace, private pool deck and boma with beautiful views overlooking the valley.

These big private lodges are extremely popular, therefore please book long in advance to ensure availability.

Sky Lodge offers 3 fully furnished self-catering private lodges on top of the hill each with big stone fireplaces, private pools and bomas with fantastic views over the Hartbeespoort Dam valley. Our lodges are solar powered so no loadshedding.

Block Bookings - Complete lodge - up to 40 guests sharing

Sky Lodge comprises 3 big private lodges on top of the hill that can accommodate up to 40 guests in total.

We have an Exclusive block booking package where you would book exclusive use of the 3 private lodges for up to 40 guest sharing (20 en-suite bedrooms).

This self catering package works well with large get-togethers, golf tours and wedding groups. There are many wedding venues in the area, but these venues have limited accommodation.

The block booking package is as follows:

2 nights minimum – R 45,000

3 nights – R 55,000

4 nights – R 60,000

Block bookings are normally made long is advance, as we will need all lodges available in order to be able to make a block booking.

Mountain Biking and Hiking

Sky Lodge is the perfect venue for a mountain biking or hiking getaway.

We are situated near to the famous Van Gaalen Cheese Farm mountain bike trail network which hosts numerous mountain bike and trail running events. Some of the trails go right past Sky Lodge.

We are also near an excellent hiking trail venue called Vergenoegd Trails. This trail goes all the way to the top of the Magaliesberg mountain range and the views are breathtaking.

Things to do

Hartbeespoort is a prime tourist destination yet still close to Johannesburg, Pretoria and Rustenberg. There are numerous attractions such as the Aerial Cableway, Boat Cruises, Zip Lines, Hot Air Balloon Safaris, Lion Park, and various animal sanctuaries. We are 100 km from Sun City and the Pilanesberg Big 5 National Park.

Conference Centre

Our conference centre is only available in the midweek.

A fully equipped conference centre on top of the hill with panoramic views across the valley. Seats up to 30 guests. The lodge has beautiful bomas and pool decks overlooking the valley and is perfect for team building and bos-beraad events.

    The views as well as the hospitality is top notch. I booked the lodge for a business strategic session over 2 days and all our requirements were met. Robert and the cleaning staff made sure that the place was clean at all times and allowed us to use the space for an additional 2hours after checkout.
