Skylodge is set at the foot of the Magaliesberg Mountains (Hartbeespoort) and a mere 45 minutes drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The lodge has magnificent surroundings and is the perfect accommodation in Hartbeespoort.

The main lodge is the original homestead which has been restored to its former glory. It consists of four superior en-suite bedrooms. One of these are the Honeymoon suite which has a huge spa bath and are surrounded by panoramic windows. The lounge area has a big fireplace with DSTV and a farmhouse kitchen. The main lodge has a big stoep area with a large private garden, swimming pool, boma and braai area.

Two stonehouse cottages has been built to accommodate larger groups. A group of 12 to 14 people can book the entire stone lodge village. The stone lodge village consists of these two cottages and the main lodge garden. This village is ideal for groups that require their own privacy and space. Our luxurious stone suites are two sleeper suites with double beds. They also have a private covered patio and a large oval en-suite spa bath. These units are not self-catering units, but the rates include breakfast in the Rock restaurant. The suites are the perfect place for a weekend breakaway or a romantic occasion.  

Skylodge also have various stone and thatch cottages:

• The Valley cottages are two bedroom cottages and can accommodate 2-4 guests. Outside these cottages you will have a large covered stoep and braai area. These cottages are self-catering units.
• Butterfly cottage consist of two bedrooms and two bathrooms and has mainly the same configuration as the Valley Cottages.
• The Wild Monkey Tree cottage is named after a monkey orange tree just outside the cottage. The cottage has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a complete kitchen with a lounge area.
• The Berg cottages are smaller than the Valley cottages. They do not have self-catering faccilities, but you can enjoy wonderful meals in the Skylodge restaurant. These cottages can accommodate a maximum of two adults and two kids.
