The Lodge was started by Michael back in 2002 when he escaped from the Johannesburg corporate world in order to search for true quality of life. The buildings have some personal touch or memorabelia from the original buildings, and the result is a blend of earthy rock with superior finishing to give the feeling of luxury while being in touch with nature.

The lodge follows and eco-friendly themes with all buildings being constructed by master stone-masons from local stone with thatch roofs.

We have various accommodation options to suite all requirements as discussed in detail in the accommodation section.

All buildings have spectacular views over the Hartbeespoort Dam and surrounding Magaliesberg mountains.

We have a superior conference centre and chapel on top of the hill. The conference is popular due to its proximity to Johannesburg and Pretoria and the fact that we are one of the very few venues in the region that can sleep up to 50 delegates.

We are found only 45 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Sandton and Pretoria on route to Sun City and the Pilansburg National Park.

We can arrange day trips and transfers in our luxury 9 seater mini-bus, which is equipped with leather seats and air-con.

We also cater for special events and functions.
